Kathy Wakile's "Goddess Eye" Unvieling! 12.20.11

On a Tuesday evening along with my sister Iris and her best friend Denese, I attended an event for Kathy Wakile's Goddess Eye jewelery unvieling! Now, you may know Kathy as one of the leading ladies from the Real Housewives of New Jersey, where she shares with viewers an inside look into her life. Kathy has many loves in life which includes her love of fashion! Kathy is always stylish, so it was no surprise to learn that she was unvieling a brand new jewelry line! The line is called Goddess Eye, and Kathy said, "is inspired by all the goddess qualities that women have." A portion of all sales of the line are donated to the national brain tumor society! The event took place at Raffsonni Galleries at the Shops at Riverside located in Hackensack, New Jersey, where not only furniture and beautiful art filled the store, Kathy had her own display for her new line. Attendees were able to meet the Wakiles and snap a pic or two with them! The DJ was spinning, and refreshments were served. (I even snagged a truffle for dessert!) Lovely night seeing people come out to meet Kathy, purchase their Goddess Eye trinket, and support a wonderful cause. Get your bracelet, its any Goddess' essential accessory!

Jason and Justin's Journey 12.7.11

About two weeks ago I got an invitation to make my way to my friend's high school, where she was hosting a special event with her school club! With club members filled with a passion to help others, the club is called Stand Up For A Cause. My friend Victoria and her best friend Natasha founded it to support a variety of causes throughout our area. This specific event was to help raise money for a foundation called the Let Them Be Little Foundation, which was started by the Leider family in honor of their two children named Jason and Justin with the disease, Mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS). For more information on the disease visit http://www.mpssociety.org/mps-diseases/

When you walked in you got a wristband that said "Jason & Justin's Journey" and "MPS Awareness" to keep!

Yummy desserts were served to guests to munch on!

Purple was the color of the night!

This family has three children, two sons and a daughter. Both sons are diagnosed with MPS, although thankfully their daughter is not. Jason and Justin's father delivered a beautiful speech to the attendees about his sons. It was heartbreaking to hear the reality of such a disease, but their parents' dedication to spread awareness, raise funds, and make change in the MPS community is definitely admirable! Keep the Leider family in your prayers, they need support to keep fighting for their children and others with MPS. A brave family with great, big hearts! They are a living example of how life is a precious gift, and we can not take our lives for granted!

The DJ provided great party music!

Teen Vogue & Marc by Marc Jacobs Event at Bergdorf Goodman! 11.19.11

As I am typing this my finger tips are covered in one of the chicest manicures they've ever gotten. Thats because I attended the Marc Your Calenders Event! The event was hosted by Teen Vogue and featured Marc by Marc Jacobs minx manicures, fab "sips & sweets" (Otherwise known as drinks & baked goods!), and mingling with Teen Vogue editors! The event took place on the 5th floor of Bergdorf Goodman. Teen Vogue Editors Amy Astley, Andrew Bevan, Eva Chen, and others were around chatting with guests. We were able to get limited edition Marc Jacobs Minx manicures, which were so fabulous!

I was so happy to be able to see some other fab bloggers my age at the event! First, I saw Cristine from http://prettyprovocative.blogspot.com! Very lovely to meet her! Forgot to snap a pic of us, but luckily she did! LOVE reading her blog, which inspired me to open mine!

Also at the event was Nova , who I remembered from Seventeen on 34th event! We had a nice talk, while I waited on line for a manicure. I was the last on line, they cut it off right after me. She was lovely,  & waited with me even though she had gotten hers already! Her blog is http://omgitsnova.blogspot.com! She has a great expressive blog!

Nova & I!

I'm so happy to be able to go and meet wonderful people, girls, and bloggers! This included Ms. Danielle from the Teen Vogue Marketing Department! She was a wonderful hostess, and great at answering my questions! I was the last one to leave (I wanted a manicure!) and Ms. Danielle let me have some extra Minx nail applications!
